Advanced Training

In addition to providing core and essential training on victim advocacy and response through the Victim Service Practitioner Certification Academy, we recognize the importance of providing ongoing and advanced training to practitioners actively engaged in the work.

Through the advisement of a statewide steering committee of some of the state’s most knowledgeable professionals in the field of victim services, we offer specialized training on select topics of interest around the state.

In doing so, our webinars and advanced training provide practitioners a means to remain engaged and challenged in the work and renew understanding of emerging practices as we enhance our support of crime victims.

Training hours granted through the Advanced Academy will also apply to credit hours needed for recertification/renewal of NOVA certification granted upon successful completion of the Victim Service Practitioner Certification.
